Exhibition “many-body problem” by Alexandra Hunts opens November 23rd!

We’re delighted to invite you to the grand opening of the exhibition “many-body problem” displaying the artworks of our invited artist in residence Alexandra Hunts.

The exhibition features art works resulting from a Science & Art Collaboration carried out at the Collaborative Research Centre 1225 ISOQUANT. As part of this project, Alexandra Hunts was invited as an artist-in-residence, allowing her to discuss and engage with scientists of the collaboration and to create artworks inspired by the dialogue. Driven by the developments in her home country Ukraine, Hunts decided to connect the collapse and restructuring of quantum states with the collapse of political systems. The artworks will be displayed at two locations, the European Institute for Neuromorphic Computing (EINC) and the Institute for Theoretical Physics (ITP), connecting and entangling the historical building of the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the Philosophenweg and recently inaugurated institute EINC in the Neuenheimer Feld.

Alexandra Hunts, born 1990 in Lviv, Ukraine, holds a bachelor’s degree from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, a master degree from Malmö Art Academy, and is currently resident at Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. Hunts works across various media, including photography, video, installation, and sculpture. Her work has been exhibited among others at KRAFT in Bergen (NO), CODA Apeldoorn (NL), Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg (DK) and are part of international public and private collections. Hunts lives and works in Amsterdam.
