I am a PhD student in the group of Dr. Aleksas Mazeliauskas. My research is about non-equilibrium physics in the context of heavy ion collisions. I volunteered as a YRC representative since the young researchers play an essential role in the Collaborative Research Center (CRC). By organising seminars and the annual retreat, we want to create a space where students and postdocs come together, get to know people from other research groups and comfortably discuss physics. Our goal is to reinforce the exchange between physicists across different fields and in particular, between theory and experiment. Moreover, by making use of the available budget, we want to organise non-scientific workshops and social events for the young researchers in Isoquant.
